HOLIDAY HAIRSTYLES FOR LONG HAIR

1. Elegant Up-Do by Luxy Hair

This simple but elegant style is perfect for holiday parties. You can wear it with straight hair, but I feel it looks more stylish with long, sexy beach waves. All you need to pull this look off is a few bobby pins and some hair spray (I am CRUSHING on Garnier’s Fructis Style Volume Anti-Humidity Hairspray these days), and if you want to dress your ‘do up a little more, consider adding a few of these pearl rhinestone crystal flower hair clips!

2. Brigitte Bardot Hair Tutorial by Luxy Hair

This Brigitte Bardot-inspired hairstyle is one of my favorite holiday hairstyles. All you need is a good teasing hair brush, curling wand (I love my Hot Tools Tapered Wand), and some bobby pins. I’m serious! It is one of the classiest – and sexiest! – looks and takes next to no time to create.

3. Twist-Crossed Curly Half-Up Updo by MakeupWearables Hairstyles

This is another simple, yet elegant look that requires nothing more than a few bobby pins and a decent teasing brush, and what I love most about this tutorial is the trick she uses with hair oil (I use Moroccan Oil) to smooth down flyaways and create a more conservative look.

4. Elegant sleek bun updo by Lilith Moon

This gorgeous look was inspired by Angelina Jolie and it’s the perfect ‘do for a company Christmas party! Lilith adds clip in hair extensions to achieve more volume, and I find this especially helpful if you have lots of layers like me!

5. Simple Looped Side Ponytail by Luxy Hair

I have been sporting this look for years. It’s a great twist on the ‘mom ponytail’, and my Topsy Tail Kit helps me create a ton of similar looks!

HOLIDAY HAIRSTYLES FOR MEDIUM LENGTH HAIR

6. French Twist by The Small Things Blog

I especially love the accessory she uses with this look – it dresses it up for even the fanciest of occasions! I took a look on Amazon to try and find something similar, and I really like this Flower Pattern Alloy Rhinestone Barrette!

7. Low Chignon by The Small Things Blog

This low chignon is so easy, yet so beautiful. She uses a texturizing powder to add a little bulk, and while I’m sure it works for a lot of people, I’ve never been a fan of texturizing powders as I feel they weigh my hair down too much. I much prefer Amika Obliphica Un.Done Texture Spray. It smells AMAZING, adds volume, and makes my hair look amazing.

8. Perfect Low Bun by Luxy Hair

If you don’t own a hair donut yet, you are really missing out. I bought this 3-piece set by Beaute Galleria after watching this tutorial and I am in love!

9. Half Up French Twist by Luxy Hair

With elegant curls, this is one of my favorite holiday hairstyles. It looks good on medium and medium-long hair, and it’s SO EASY TO DO!

10. Undone French Twist by The Small Things Blog

I’m a big fan of messy hair updos, and this hairstyle does NOT disappoint!!!

HOLIDAY HAIRSTYLES FOR SHORT HAIR

11. Messy Beach Waves for Very Short Hair by stillGLAMOROUS

This look is the perfect combination of messy and sophisticated and I absolutely love it. It makes me want to cut my hair every single time I watch it!! She uses EDIA hair products, where aren’t available on Amazon, and since I have long hair, I cannot offer a suitable alternative. But if you have short hair, watch the tutorial and find a place that sells EDIA products near you!!!

12. Romantic Up-Do for Short Hair by Kin Community

This is a gorgeous style for a night out, and my biggest takeaway from this tutorial is the importance of investing in a good thermal setting spray if you have straight hair that doesn’t hold a curl well. It makes such a difference!

13. 3 Minute Updo For Short Hair by cutesygirl09

Who said girls with short hair can’t sport stylish, sexy holiday hairstyles?!

14. Casual Half Up by The Small Things Blog

With sexy curls, you can make this look work for all hair lengths!!

15. Easier Than It Looks Updo by The Small Things Blog

If your hair isn’t too short, but also isn’t overly long, this look is for you! All you need is some bobby pins, a combclear elasticshairspray, and some dry shampoo. This look is so easy to pull off and looks AMAZING.

Contrary to popular belief, looking good doesn’t have to be expensive. All you need are the right products and tools, a little patience and perseverance, and a good wifi connection. These holiday party hairstyles are simple yet elegant, and once you master the techniques in these tutorials, you’ll soon learn how to dress up your locks in no time at all!
